Sailing into Fun: Pack 337 Rain Gutter Regatta
Greetings Pack 337 Families,
This past Monday, we took advantage of the great weather and met at the park for one of our favorite traditions—the Rain Gutter Regatta! It was an evening full of excitement, creativity, and a little friendly competition as our Scouts put their boats to the test.
Each Scout brought their uniquely designed boat, and it was great to see the variety of colors, themes, and personal touches (including a picture of the scout driving the boat). From simple designs to more detailed creations, every boat reflected the effort and imagination of its builder.
The races themselves were a blast! Scouts lined up, took a deep breath, and used their best strategy—blowing through straws—to power their boats down the course. There were plenty of close finishes, lots of cheering, and even a few surprises along the way. More importantly, it was wonderful to see good sportsmanship on display, with Scouts encouraging each other and celebrating everyone’s efforts.
Events like the Rain Gutter Regatta remind us that Scouting is about more than just competition. It’s about creativity, trying your best, and having fun together as a Pack.
As we continue to wrap up the year, don’t forget that our Family Campout is coming up on May 16th and 17th. This is always one of the highlights of the year, filled with outdoor adventures, campfire fun, and great memories with family and friends.
Be sure to sign up soon so your family doesn’t miss out!
