Scouting For Food 2024

Heart of America Council is teaming up with Harvesters and food pantries across the metro for Scouting for Food, a neighborhood based food collection campaign that will help feed the hungry across Kansas City this holiday season. Items collected stay in your community and will be distributed directly to more than 30 partner agencies.
It’s easy for Scouts to participate and it all happens within your neighborhood now on one day.
On Saturday, November 9, distribute flyers and collect food in your neighborhood. Print 10-20 of the flyers below and go door-to-door in uniform with a parent. Explain what Scouting for Food is and ask if they have any items on the flyer they would like to donate.
Have a bag or box available to collect any donated items and be sure to thank everyone you talk to. Plan to visit at least 10 homes in your neighborhood.
