Sunday June 7th, Pack 337’s Tigers kicked off the 2026 Cub World season at Camp Naish as part of the very first Tiger Camp session of the year.

Representing our den were Bizzy, Keeton, James, and Beau, along with a great group of parents who helped make the weekend a success. A huge thank you goes out to Caleb, Ryan, and Ali for spending Sunday and Monday with us and helping create some great memories for our Scouts.

Sunday started off strong as the scouts jumped into their first program rotations, tackling activities around Cub World and working toward several Tiger Adventure requirements. The weather cooperated…right up until it didn’t. While visiting the Castle station, we got an unexpected lesson in meteorology when a summer rain shower rolled through. Fortunately, everyone stayed in good spirits, and we enjoyed lunch under the pavilion before heading to one of the highlights of camp: the Pirate Ship Water Park.

The Tigers quickly discovered that pirates, much like Cub Scouts, prefer to stay cool on hot summer days.

Monday brought sunshine, dry trails, Midwest humidity and another full day of adventure. The Tigers continued making progress toward their belt loops while exploring Cub World, collecting camp beads, burning enough energy to keep several parents hopeful for an early bedtime, and of course another session at The Pirate Ship.

By the end of camp, our Tigers had completed activities in archery, BB guns, nature, outdoor skills, games, teamwork and more. They also had the honor of helping with the closing flag ceremony, a fitting way to wrap up a great couple of days at camp.

Other accomplishments included:

• Collecting a respectable amount of camp beads.
• Avoiding most of the ticks and bugs (a victory worth celebrating).
• Drinking approximately one lake’s worth of water.
• Consuming Bomb Pops at a rate that would concern most nutritionists.
• Creating enough camp stories to last until next year’s Wolf Camp.

Most importantly, the Scouts represented Pack 337 well. They were enthusiastic, helpful, and eager to try new things throughout our two days at Naish.

A great time was had by all, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s Cub World adventures.

Until then, remember: a Scout is Brave, a Scout is Helpful, and apparently a Scout can survive two days on sunshine, camp beads, and Bomb Pops.
